Third Grade : Designing Your Very Own Gallery or Museum Space Part One

This quite possibly is the project I am most excited about this school year!
A great way to teach students about the contributions of the art world
and also to show students not only what media there is out there,
but how to imagine themselves creating these grand works of art
in their very own art gallery or art museum!

We discussed and saw images of :
Installation Art
Large Scale Sculpture
The difference between installation art and sculpture
Famous Painter Chuck Close and his contributions to modern art
as a handicapped painter.

Here are some art history books that students used as motivations
and inspirations for their gallery and museum designs

Projecting images of the artist Chuck Close on the white board for all to see
larger than life!

The following drawings are merely sketches and will
be getting color added to them on Thursday and Friday of this week!
Stay tuned!!
